Be it cleaning a temple or a samithi building, arranging footwear in a line, reading out a book to an elderly person, baby sitting for a working parent, or distributing buttermilk to the thristy during summer, any work offered voluntarily by a child bestows a sense of fulfilment to the child and the beneficiary.

Bhagawan provide service opportunities in different ways. In fact, He lived His message. He would distribute clothes Himself, serve food during Narayana Seva, started the Gram Seva, visit patients at the hospital, etc.
The body is to serve others and to develop love, empathy, and compassion to fellow men through service, He says.

While it is common to see people donating money for noble causes, offering physical help is rare but a must.

Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas encourages students to take part in service activities at the local samithi level and even at Puttaparthi, as they grow up.

The aim is to imbibe in children the attitude to voluntarily reach out to the need at any point of time and in any situation in later years of their life.
