Aumkaaram Bindu Sloka
LYRICS
Aumkaaram Bindu Samyuktam
Nityam Dhyaayanti Yoginah
Kaamadam Mokshadam Chaiva
Aumkaaraaya Namo Namah
MEANING
The ascetics always meditate upon the Aumkar with the (Bindu) dot. We bow down to that eternal Aumkar which grants our desires and gives us liberation (salvation). (The Aumkar written with a dot signifies that we are Bindus (drops) of that Aumkar from which we have come. Aum is the sound symbol of God. The Bindu represented by the individualized Jiva Atma, is united with the Universal Paramatma represented by the formless Aum. The yogis contemplate on this eternal relationship).
