The Sun
The Sun
Children! Sit straight! Breathe in and breathe out gently. Close your eyes. Imagine you are all getting ready to go on a trip to see the Sun, the fire god. It is a big round ball of fire. It has red, orange and yellow colours in it. When we go nearer and nearer to the Sun we feel the heat. It is not easy to go very close to it.
The Sun gives us light and heat. The Sun teaches discipline by rising in the morning and setting in the evening. Life on earth is possible only because of the Sun. Plants make their food with the help of sunlight.
Sun treats all on earth equally. It is selfless and is always giving. We should also be selfless and treat everyone equally with love and care.
You are all excited to watch the Sun moving but it is the earth that moves around the Sun. Now with the same excitement come back to your seats and slowly open your eyes.
The Sun gives light and warmth to all, Be like the sun; give your love to everyone.
Activity:
Guru can ask children to draw what they saw during the guided visualisation.
