The Japanese geologist
The Japanese geologist
Baba often declares, “All names are mine and all forms are mine.” Therefore He responds to the sincere prayers of His children everywhere, even though they may not have seen Sai or heard Him.
There was once a Japanese geologist who on a visit to India, happened to see photographs of Swamiji in a colleague’s house in Bangalore. This man of science was keen to see Baba and know more about Him. So the devotee colleague took him to Brindavan, where Baba happened to be at the time.
Baba called him for an interview, or to put it more appropriately an ‘inner view’! Baba reminded the geologist that when he was born, he was a blue baby and that the doctors had told his father he may not survive. It was then that the father had gone to the temple of Lord Buddha and placing the child on Buddha’s feet had prayed, “Lord this is your child, if he lives or not depends upon your Divine Will.” Then he took the baby home. Baba said, “Ever since then I have been looking after you.” Then Baba created a heart shaped locket for him. He opened it and showed it to the geologist. It was a heart with only three chambers! The man was simply astounded. How had Baba known his secret he wondered. For when his father had told him that the doctors had said, he had a heart with only three chambers, he had never told anyone — in fact it was his most closely guarded secret. The geologist realised that day that no secret can ever be hidden from Baba, who is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.
Divinity is like the thread which holds the individual beads together, and only the thread can know the inside of each bead.
