Introduction to selected verses from Bhagawad Gita<\/h2>\n

Thirteen verses have been selected from the Gita for Balvikas Group III. they have been arranged in particular sequence and under a meaningful classification. Jnana, Karma, Grand<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Jnana & Faith<\/th>\n1, 2<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Karma<\/th>\n3, 4, 5<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Grand Assurance<\/th>\n6<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Sadhana<\/th>\n7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
Verses 1 and 2 tell us about Jnana and Faith:<\/h5>\n

What is Jnana? Jnana is Wisdom. Wisdom is right understanding of life \u2026. Its different problems and aspects and also the aim and its purposes. So the child has to be taught the importance of knowledge. It is not enough only if one knows the importance of knowledge, one must learn to acquire knowledge, with steadfast faith. So Swadhyaya is the path which the child has to tread first.<\/p>\n

Verses 3 to 5 enlighten us about Karma:<\/h5>\n

Passing through swadhyaya one has to reach the path of seva. Having understood the supreme need of knowledge and spiritual practices one must put forth effort to acquire it. Having acquired a steady mind through Swadhyaya one must attend to one\u2019s work in life. All work must be done without any motive and attachment to the fruits thereof. Each and every work must be done as an offering to God. This is called Nishkama Karma. Nishkama Karma leads one onwards till wisdom dawns upon him. Through wisdom only one understands that the ultimate goal of life is attainment of work done for anyone, anywhere and at anytime. That means work must be done without any selfish motive. Such work automatically become Yoga and such a worker a Yogi.<\/p>\n

Verse 6 is Grand Assurance of the Lord:<\/h5>\n

The sixth verse contains is the grand assurance of the Lord to His devotees who have single pointed faith towards the Supreme Being. He takes the full responsibility of the devotee who has totally surrendered to Him.<\/p>\n

Verse 7 to 13 tell us about Sadhana:<\/h5>\n

Swadhyaya leads to Sadhana. What is Sadhana? Sadhana is the practice of certain spiritual disciplines, such as the control of the senses and purification of Thought, Word and Deed. It also includes leading a virtuous life. In order to acquire wisdom Sadhana, including knowledge, is essential.
