The Lotus
Dear Children! Imagine you are walking near a pond. There is a temple nearby. You see so many lotus flowers in the pond. The Lotus is dear to Goddess Lakshmi. The Lotus is pink in colour. You know that the lotus is our national flower.
The Lotus
Dear Children! Imagine you are walking near a pond. There is a temple nearby. You see so many lotus flowers in the pond. The Lotus is dear to Goddess Lakshmi. The Lotus is pink in colour. You know that the lotus is our national flower.
Your heart is like the lotus flower, so soft and tender. The lotus opens its petals one by one when it sees the Sun. Like that, we also have to open our heart to God. It also teaches us the lesson of detachment and purity. Though the pond has stagnant water, it blooms there. It emerges out clean and fresh, unaffected by the mud under its stem. So surroundings do not matter for being good and pure. You can see the water drop on the leaf of the lotus going from one end to the other. It teaches us to be close but also remain detached.
We should learn to be good and spread happiness to everyone around us.
The Lotus flower opens when it sees the Sun. Be like the lotus flower; open your heart to God.
Activity:
