Krishna’s foot prints
Janmashtami ushers in a mood of devotion and merriments. Apart from special pujas, it is a practice for people to usually draw or paint Lord Krishna’s foot prints from the entrance of the house to the Pooja room. It is believed that, making impressions of Krishna’s feet during Janmashtami is a sign of welcoming Lord Krishna into our home. It is said that when Krishna enters our home, He will dispel darkness and bring goodness in our lives.
Here is a video that depicts a few easy ways in which we can make tiny impressions of Krishna’s foot prints. They are made with smooth and wet rice paste. We can use cotton or small piece of cloth to make the imprints. Once dried, it gives a beautiful image of Krishna’s tiny foot prints.
