Round B – Kamal as metaphor
Kamal is associated with Deities metaphorically in many ways because of its divine attributes. The enchanting Lotus evokes admiration, steadfastness, detachment and equanimity. It is therefore used metaphorically to describe the various aspects of the Lord in stotras and stutis from time immemorial. Similar feelings are aroused when a bhakta’s eyes rest on the Lord’s form.
