Eid-Ul-Fitr
Significance of Eid-Ul-Fitr
At the end of Ramzan, the day after the New Moon is sighted , is celebrated as Eid-ul-fitr.
‘Eid’ means ‘Joy’ and ‘Fitr’ means ‘charity’. Hence Eid ul-fitr means ‘derive happiness through charity’
During this festival, one not only remembers God , but also the poor. Eid promotes the idea that the individual can be happy only if he contributes to making the entire society happy.
