Materials Required:
  • Music (optional)
How to play:
  1. Children form a circle.
  2. The Guru taps on the shoulder of a child and prompts her to start an action (eg. laughing), which the others have to follow.
  3. While that action (laughing) is on, suddenly the guru taps another child on the shoulder.
  4. Now this child has to replace the old action with a new one (ex.clapping) and the rest of the children have to change over to that new action.
  5. The game is continued in this manner till the time permits.
Tips to gurus:
  • No action is to be repeated.
  • Those children who are not attentive or alert enough to change over to the next action are declared out of the game.
  • 6-8 actions for each set of 20 children, after which the next set of 20 play the game with altogether different actions.
