Getting up early
Getting up early
The teacher reads the exercise slowly, pausing at the dots…
If you wish you can play soft music in the background.
Firstly, sit in a comfortable position on your chairs, or cross legged on the floor. Make sure your back is straight and head is upright. Take a deep breath and relax as you breathe out. Close your eyes, or if you are uncomfortable with that, look down at the floor. Take another deep breath … and another …
Imagine it is morning and you are in bed…
Your mum is calling you to get up …
You know it is time to get up for school…
You feel like having a bit longer in your nice warm bed…
Imagine yourself getting up so that you won’t be rushed or late…
Your mum is pleased with you…
You won’t have to hurry…
You feel good about your choice to get up early ….
Pat yourself on the back being good…
(Longer pause)
When you hear my small bell tinkle, slowly open your eyes, look at the person sitting next to you and smile.
