The Peacock
The Peacock
Dear Children! Jump up and turn around! Hands up! Hands down!
Look at this beautiful bird Peacock. It is our national bird. Now, sit down, back straight, hands in chin-mudra and close your eyes. Listen to the voice.
We are going to a garden inhabited by many peacocks. The peacocks are pecking grains. Look at the sky. It is overcast with clouds. Each peacock is opening its feathers and dancing with joy. Wow! What a vibrant spread of colours! Blue! Indigo! Beautiful!. The shaking of its head and dancing looks so graceful. What a lovely sight!
It spreads its beauty through its wings of feathers. How do we spread the beauty? Each one of us are like the beautiful peacock. The qualities of ‘kindness’, ‘honesty’, ‘cleanliness’, ‘discipline’ and ‘good manners’ are our feathers, with which we can spread the beauty of our life. We learn many things from nature and let us nurture the nature.
Say this and slowly open your eyes.
Oh God! Help me and Guide me to see good, do good and be good.
Activity:
Draw a picture of what you saw in the Garden.
