CHRISTMAS TREE CRAFT – GROUP I
(BEST OUT OF WASTE WITH ICE CREAM STICKS)

Get Ready:
Discuss with children about the festival of Christmas. Elaborate on how the celebrations brings the family together with love. Explain that giving and receiving gifts is an act of love. Baking a cake or cookies at home too is a way of expressing love for the family. Donating used toys, clothes that are in good condition to the underprivileged children is an act of love. Making crafts with waste is an act of love towards the Environment!
Materials required:
- Ice cream sticks.
- Fabric/Acrylic paints.
- Star, sequences.
- Glue, scissors.
- Loads of imagination!
Activity:
- Colour 3 sticks of your choice. Glue them together to form a triangle. This forms the frame for a Christmas tree.
- Stick the sequences on the sticks to brighten up the tree.
- Stick half an ice cream stick on the centre of the bottom stick to give the bark effect.
- Can cut a star from used gift wrapping paper and stick this star at the top of the tree.
- You may gift this tree to your loved ones. It can be even kept on top of a big cake to create a Festive effect or hang on the Christmas tree.
