Hand’s Action in the Society
Objective:
An inspirational game that helps the children understand the good that people in different professions do for the society.
Related Values:
To put to practice artistic skills and understand the importance of the role of people in the society.
Materials Required:
A set of ‘Human Values’ cards.
Preparatory work for the Guru:
None
How to Play
- The children are divided into 2 teams. Both the teams are to play simultaneously, sitting on 2 semi-circles each.
- The Guru then explains that in the society, there are different people performing different roles, with each of them performing their best for the good of society.
- One player from each team comes to the Guru, who whispers a profession to the child. The child goes back to their corresponding team and without making any sound, tries to act out the profession given.
- The first team to guess the profession receives one ‘Human Value’ card. After each round the teams should explain the good that the professional does to the society.
- This game aims at highlighting the good that people in different professions do to the society.
- The game continues and new players are given the chance to act different professions.
Tips to Gurus:
- If there are just a few participants, do not make teams, children can instead take turns and play the game.
- The children who guess the profession correctly, wins one ‘Human Values’ cards.
- After many rounds, the child with the most number of ‘Human Values’ card is the winner.
