Human Value Chairs
HUMAN VALUE CHAIRS
PLAYERS :Group II, Group III Children or parents.
VALUES INCULCATED
- To make people understand the importance of values in life.
- To make people aware of the problems arising when there is a lack of values.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Marker,Cello tape
- Papers/Chart
- Music Player
PREPARATORY EFFORT:
- Attach to the back of each chair a paper listing a different value-based word.
GAME:
- This game is played in the same way as ‘Musical Chairs’ but with ‘Human Values’ chairs.
- Arrange the chairs in a circle. Make sure the number of chairs is always 1 less than the number of participants
- The participants run around when the music starts.
- When the music stops, participants sit on a vacant chair.
- Remove 1 chair for the next round.
- The participant who has to leave the game (because there is no vacant chair to sit) must remove the value attached to that chair and speak about what that particular value means to him/her and what it would be like in the absence of that value.
- The last participant remaining in the game wins.
