IF THE QUOTATION INSPIRES YOU, PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
PLAYERS :Group II, Group III Children or parents
VALUES INCULCATED
- To make people learn valuable quotations and inspire them to put it into practice.
- To practice listening to others.
- To improve memory.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- A set of ‘Inspiring Quotations’ cards.
- Pieces of cloth to blindfold the participants.
PREPARATORY EFFORT:
- Gurus should make set of cards on “Inspiring Quotations”
Example:
- First be, then do + then tell
- God is the doer + we are the instruments
- Help ever + hurt never
- Love all + serve all
- Love is giving + and forgiving
- Service to man + is service to God
- There is only one God + and He is omnipresent
- There is only one religion + the religion of love
- There is only one caste + the caste of humanity
GAME:
- This game is better played in a big area.
- The participants spread around the place and the moderator gives 1 half quote slip to each.
- Participants to memorise the quote.
- They blindfold themselves, turn in circles to lose the way.
- At the call “Start” the participants should try to find their half quote by repeating theirs in sweet and low voice.
- Children can move around with their hands stretched so that they don’t dash against anyone.
- As soon as they find their partner they should uncover their eyes and must go to the guru to report it.
- The guru to check the quote. If there is a mistake, they blindfold themselves and go back to the game.
- The first pair wins.
- But the game should be played until everybody finds his/her partner.
- At the end, each pair should represent his/her quote in front of the participants.
- The guru must emphasise the importance of putting the message into practice in our daily lives and not to be “blindfolded”!
