Clean Water! It Starts With You!

(Balvikas Class Activity)

Materials Required:

1. A transparent glass tumbler
2. Drinking water
3. Ink/Paint

Method:

1. First fill the glass tumbler with drinking water.
2. Ask children if they would drink the water if they feel thirsty.
3. Now, add few drops of ink/paint into the water.



4. Ask children if they would drink the water.
   (They will say they won’t)
5. The Guru can now start the discussion on the impact of water pollution. Explain that the ink drops are like the chemicals that pollute the water. If the water is not suitable for us to drink, will it be suitable for the aquatic animals and plants?
