Loka Samastha

The song, “Loka Samastha Sukhino Bavanthu…..” means to wish happiness and peace to all beings in this world. This is a distinctly selfless mantra. The shloka seeks Universal peace and happiness. Swami’s prime desire has always been the welfare of the whole Universe, right from mortals to animals to plants and trees…to marine life to birds to rivers, mountains and rocks…all the planets, all the lokaas…to every speck in the cosmos.

Chanting this shloka is a universal seva. Along with peace, this revives a feeling of brotherhood, camaraderie and the chorus of kindred oneness.

The effect of this shloka has a magnified effect as it not only encompasses Mother Earth but also the whole Universe and brings about a harmonious balance between the five elements – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. and brings about a harmonious balance.
