Tracing

Tracing or transferring images has been a technique used by artists over many years to save time and ensure accuracy in representational art. It produces a replica of the original, as in the case of ‘hand peacock’.

Variations:

There is no hard and fast rule that an Art activity should only follow a teaching technique. It can be the other way too!

For instance, after tracing the hand peacock a quiz can be conducted.

  1. What is our national bird? (Peacock)
  2. Whose vehicle is peacock? (Lord Subramanya)
  3. What do we learn from a peacock? (when cloudy, it dances – Equanimity)
  4. Who sports a peacock feather on His crown? (Lord Krishna)
  5. Never be _________ like a peacock. (proud)
