67. Om Shri Sai Priyaaya Namah
[Salutations to Lord Sai who is loved by all.]
Sathya Sai Baba is loved by everyone, and our love for Him is boundless.
Once, a mother and daughter came to Bangalore on their way to Shirdi. Having heard that Baba was the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba, they were eager to have His darshan. They came to Prashanthi Nilayam and stayed there for a few days. Although they longed for an interview with Baba, they didn’t get one. As the time came for them to continue their journey, they prepared to leave. Standing in the mandir and offering prayers, they saw Baba ascending the staircase and silently prayed for His permission to depart.
Meanwhile, in His room, Baba called Kasturi and handed over a few packets of vibhuti to be given to the mother and daughter. He also instructed that the piece of cloth they had brought for Him, can be kept by them as prasadam.
When the Baba’s message was conveyed with Vibuthi prasadam they were filled with amazement and joy. They had brought the cloth with the intention of placing it at the Samadhi of Shirdi Sai Baba, following a cherished custom. They were delighted that Baba had accepted it and blessed it as prasadam.
After this experience, they felt there was little need to proceed to Shirdi. Their faith in Baba was strengthened, and their love and devotion for Him knew no bounds.
