76. Om Shri Sai Jnaana-Swaroopaaya Namah

Baba is the living embodiment of wisdom. Baba in His own words has instructed us to open the gates of wisdom and enter the abode of divine bliss. This will grant us peace!
Baba showered His love and grace on young children. In 1965, He performed ‘Upanayanam’ (a ceremony for brahmacharis to initiate them into various rituals). Baba gave nearly four hundred and fifty young children the ceremonial dress, utensils and books for performing the ceremony. When they uttered their gothras, Baba blessed them by placing rice on their plates. He called them individually and imparted the sacred Gayathri Mantra in their ears. He urged them to perform Sandya Vandanam regularly. He explained the message “Mathru Devo Bhava; Pithru Devo Bhava”. He explained that parents are indeed God to the children.
The children were blessed to get initiated by God who is the living embodiment of wisdom!
