Find out your Friend

Objective:

A unique and interesting group activity to familiarize the children with the various animals

Value Inculcated:

Love for animals and birds

Materials required:

Plain cards/ Thick A4 sheets

Preparatory work for the guru:

1. A list of the names of animals and birds   (eg. Dog, Cat, Cow, Crow, Owl etc)
2. Write the names of these animals and birds on the card.
3. Each animal and bird must be written on three cards.

Procedure:

1. Make the children pick one chit each.
2. The children should see the chit and give it back.
3. Next, the children should find their respective group members, by making sounds of the respective animal (e. g Dog; bow bow, Cat; Meow etc)
4. The children should do so without talking or asking questions. (eg. Children who have ‘Dog’, should find others who have the same animal)
5. After finding out, the children must form their groups.
