39. Om Shri Sai Anaatha-Naathaaya Namah
[Who is the guardian or Lord of the destitute. ]
Baba is a dear friend to helpless and abandoned souls. Swami Karunyananda lived with Baba and he had a charitable trust for the helpless and orphaned people. He helped a destitute woman who came to his trust. The woman was also preganant and had a two year old girl. She was immediately admitted to the hospital. There hung a portrait of Baba in the hospital with His hands holding the leaves of a coconut tree. That picture was called as ‘Sadhuvamma’ picture. The hospital staff had gone out and when they returned back, they were astonished to see a healthy boy delivered by a lady. Both the baby and the mother were well taken care of. The woman pointed to the picture of Baba and said that She was the doctor who attended to her and the child. Baba’s compassion to the helpless woman is breathtaking!
