MEDHU VADA

Soak Urad dal for 2 hours

Grind the soaked dal to a  thick paste in a mixie, by sprinkling little water

Add onion, green chillies, curry leaves and cumin seeds.

Add rice flour and salt. Rice flour helps in making crispy vadas

Mix well. Shape the dough into vadas and Deep fry in oil

Yields: 10 vadas

Ingredients

  • white Urad dal without skin- 1 cup
  • onion - 1
  • green chillies -3
  • curry leaves few
  • cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
  • rice flour - 1 tablespoon
  • salt to taste

  6. Serve with coconut chutney or eat plain..
