CAPSICUM CHUTNEY

Capsicum chutney is a very good alternative if you are bored with routine chutney. It is very healthy ,tasty dish goes well with Idli, dosa or even with roti.

Wash capsicum and chop. Slice onions and tomatoes.

In a pan, heat oil saute sliced onions and capsicum till they turns transparent.

Now add chopped tomatoes and saute for few minutes and add coriander leaves and Switch off the stove.

As the leaves gets dipped off, remove from the stove and allow it to cool.

In a mixie jar, add the cooked mixture ,curd, salt, chilly powder.

And grind it to a fine paste.

Season with urad dhall, mustard and Jeera along with curry leaves.

Ingredients

  • Capsicum - 2 ( sliced length wise)
  • Onions - 2 ( sliced length wise)
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Guava leaves - 4 ( Can replace with coriander leaves )
  • Curd - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Salt and chili powder as required
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp.
  • Urad dhall - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp.
  • Curry leaves

Method

  4. Just before switching off the flame add coriander or Guava leaves and let it stay on heat.
  5. As the leaves gets dipped off, remove from the stove and allow it to cool.
  6. In a mixie jar, add the cooked mixture, curd, salt, chilly powder and grind it to a fine paste.
  7. Season with urad dhall, mustard and Jeera along with curry leaves.
  8. Serve with Idli or dosa
