CORIANDER CHUTNEY

Coriander Chutney is a simple ,healthy and yet a tasty recipe to go with Idli, dosa and even with pakoras and samosa.

My Recipe

serves: 6 persons

Ingredients

  • Coriander - 1 bunch( chopped finely)
  • Tamarind - small lemon sized ball of tamarind ( soaked in warm water )
  • Green chillies - 3 no's
  • Urad Dhall - 1 tablespoon
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Salt - As per the requirement.

Method

  1. Wash the Coriander leaves thoroughly in water.
  2. In a blender, add Coriander leaves, green chillies, tamarind, salt and blend it to a fine paste.
  3. In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add Urad dhall , asafoetida and fry it for a minute.
  4. Now add grinded coriander paste and fry for 5 minutes
  5. This can be refrigerated and used for Idli, dosa and rice instantaneously.
