Pudina or mint chutney is very flavourful and delicious side dish.It is very tasty dish and goes well with Idli, Dosa and even with hot rice.

VARIATIONS :
Dilute this chutney with water,when serving with Idli or dosa.
Seasoning is optional.If you want ,season with mustard and asafoetida.

Ingredients

  • Urad dal - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Pudina / Mint leaves- 1 cup
  • Coconut (grated) - 1/2 cup
  • Amchur powder - 1/4 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 tablespoon
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon.

Method

  1. Wash the Mint leaves thoroughly in water.
  2. Place a heavy bottomed pan over moderate heat and fry Urad Dhall in the oil until it turns golden brown.
  3. Place all the ingredients in the blender and grind it to a smooth paste.
  4. Serve it with rice , Idli or dosa
