RIDGEGOURD CHUTNEY

Ridgegourd chutney is an easy recipe and you can make it with easily available ingredients in your kitchen.It tastes great with idli, dosa and even with hot rice.

Ridgegourd chutney

Preparation Time: 30 mins

Serves: 5 persons

Ingredients

  • Ridgegourd - 1 big ridgegourd (cut into small cubes)
  • Tomato - 1 no
  • Green chillies - 1 no
  • Sambar onion - 2no's
  • Garlic - 5 pods
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt - as per our requirement.

Method

  1. Peel the skin and cut the ridgegourd into small pieces.
  2. Add Tomato,green chillies, Sambar onion and place it in a cooker.
  3. No need to add water while cooking.
  4. Cook till 2 whistle
  5. Wait for the vegetable to cool down.
  6. In a blender, add grated coconut,Coriander leaves, garlic and a cooked vegetables and blend it.
  7. Tasty Ridgegourd chutney is ready.
