SWEET POTATO

Sweet potato is a starchy and sweet root vegetable that has many health benefits due to its rich content of vitamins, minerals and fiber. It can be cooked in less than 20 minutes and is very tasty. In india, it is used as neivedhyam for Lord Siva on the day of Sivarathri.

Ingredients

  • Sweet potato - 10 numbers
  • Ghee - 2 teaspoon

Method

  1. Wash sweet potato well to clear off any mud ..cut to big pieces
  2. in a pan, heat 2 teaspoon ghee
  3. add the sweet potato pieces and cook covered for 5 minutes in low flame
  4. every 5 minutes , sprinkle little water..cook covered for 15 minutes till it gets cooked but not mashed.
  5. Peel and eat..Yummy snack ready..
