PALAK SOUP

Palak soup is a nutrient dense, delicious and easy to prepare recipe.

This is a very good way to include greens in our diet.

In a tawa, heat butter/Ghee , add garlic and chopped onions,saute for 4 minutes

Now add chopped spinach, little water and cook for 5 minutes.

Cool the cooked spinach and puree it in  the mixie.

In a pan, add the spinach puree, milk- Cornflour mixture, salt and pepper to taste.

Bring the soup to boil, stirring occasionally.

Serve garnished with pepper and fresh cream.

VARIATIONS :
More fresh cream may be added for a creamy soup.
Bread crumbs can be added when serving.
Onions and garlic can be excluded .

Yields: 3 Cups of Soup

Ingredients

  • Big bunch of chopped palak - 1
  • Big Onion chopped - 1/2
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 Cloves
  • Cornflour/ Maida mixed with one cup of cold milk.
  • Salt - as required
  • Crushed pepper.
  • Ghee/ butter - 2 tablespoon

Method
