PAANAKAM

A sweet drink with a wonderfully different taste. This is also served as “Prasad” during “ Rama Navami” festival celebrations.

 

Ingredients

Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl till the jaggery dissolves completely,

Squeeze Lemon.

Sieve.

Serve Chilled or at room temperature.

Yields: 5 persons

Ingredients

  • Powdered jaggery : 100gms
  • Water : 5 glasses
  • Dry ginger powder : 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • pepper powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • juice of : 1 large lemon

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl till the Jaggery dissolves completely.
  2. Sieve
  3. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
  4. VARIATION 1 : Adjust quantity of lime and jaggery to suit your taste buds, depending on how sweet you want it to be.
