POTATO MASALA

Heat oil. Fry aniseed, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf

Add Onion, salt and curry leaves and fry for 5 minutes till onion turns golden

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder and fry 2 minutes

Add Garlic- Ginger Paste and fry for 3 minutes

Add boiled potato and little water

Cook Covered for 10 minutes

Garnish with coriander leaves. Potato Masala Ready!! Use as side dish for rice, roti or dosa

Ingredients

  • Boiled Potatoes- 5 numbers cut to slices
  • Onions - 3 big cut to pieces
  • Aniseed (Sombhu or big cumin) - 1 teaspoon
  • Cloves - 5 , cinnamon-2 , cardamom -3, Bay leaf-2
  • few curry leaves and few coriander leaves
  • turmeric powder-1 teaspoon, chilli powder-2 teaspoon, coriander powder-2 teaspoon, masala powder- 2 teaspoon
  • garlic ginger paste-2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste

Method

  1. Pressure cook potatoes . Peel. cut to pieces and keep aside.
