BEETROOT THUVAIYAL

Ingredients-Urad dal, red chillies, hing

 

Ingredients- grated beetroot

 

 

Soak amla sized tamarind in warm water

Dry roast the ingredients in a kadai along with hing

4. Saute the grated beetroot in dry kadai

Add the roasted dal, chillies, sauted beetroot,tamarind _ salt and grind it in a mixer

Beetroot thuvaiyal is ready

BEETROOT THUVAIYAL

Cook Time: 20 mins
Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • Grated Beetroot-1 cup
  • Hing-a pinch
  • Urad Dal-2 teaspoons
  • Channa dal-1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Red chillies-6 to 8
  • Tamarind -amla sized
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Soak amla sized tamarind in warm water
  2. Dry roast the ingredients in a kadai along with hing
  3. Saute the grated beetroot in dry kadai
  4. Add the roasted dal, chillies, beetroot,tamarind _ salt and grind it in a mixer
  5. Beetroot thuvaiyal is ready

    Very happy to see this . all recipes are very easy and good. For beetroot thovayal the amount of each ingredient is not mentioned. Pls help us. Sairam
