CRISPY TAPIOCA DOSA

Tapioca is a seasonal root. It is also known as Maravalli Kizanghu or Kappa Kizanghu in Tamil. Let us see how to make crispy dosa using tapioca.

Tapioca, red chillies and Hing / asafetida.

Wash Raw rice and boiled rice, soak for two hours.

Peel and grate tapioca.

In a blender, add chillies, hing, salt and little rice and blend. Then add remaining rice and grind it. Now add tapioca  and blend it to a smooth paste.

Make it as a thin batter by adding water.

Heat iron tawa, spread the batter.

Drizzle oil to it.

Flip over and cook the other side of dosa.

Ingredients

  • Raw rice - 1 cup
  • Boiled rice - 1/4 cup
  • Grated tapioca - 1 cup
  • Red chillies - 5-6 no's
  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tablespoon
  • salt as required.
