BISCUIT CAKE

With His unconditional love, Swami established the Anantapur campus of SSSSIHL exactly 50 years before in 1968. As we receive His unconditional love, He always ensured that we learn to express the same to all, with practical lessons. 80kms away from Prasanthi at Anantapur, in our campus, in His invisible form, He still touches our lives, teaches us lessons, directs our thoughts and fills our beings. Here is one of our hostel routine, to show how He did this.
When we join the hostel, we are far away from home and family, there are many times we miss our family. One such occasion is during birthdays, the time when our family celebrated with extra zeal and enthusiasm. However in ATP the zeal was no less among our new family members, our dearest Sai sisters. Our college life was so hectic and tightly scheduled at all times. And as we were under the lovable protected shield of our teachers, we had no access to the outside world. In spite of this our creativity actually blossomed. We did not have an oven to cook or any facility which allowed us to make a cake not to forget to mention that we didn’t have time to access it even if we had such a facility, but that was when our creativity was used to the maximum potential. We made cake out of biscuits. Have you ever heard of that? Yes, biscuits and anyone who ate it would surely be licking their fingers. Therefore if you ever feel like having a delicious treat for yourself and your family but you have limited time and money crunch. Well no worries, today we are sharing a simple cake recipe for you all.

Procure Biscuits and chocolates.

Crush the biscuits into fine dust.

Keep different biscuits in different plates.

Incase you are using oreo biscuits, separate the cream and make pretty flowers with it.

Melt the chocolate. If you have no access to melt the chocolate, put the chocolate pieces in a tumbler, add milk to melt.

Crush the gems into minute granules and keep it ready for use.

Pour little milk into the crushed biscuits and start kneading it.

Once ready put in a plate and start shaping the mould into the desired shape.

There are various ways of making the base, either make the complete design and pour chocolate from above, otherwise shape the mould and make a small gap in between if you want to have the chocolate inside the cake. (It adds a wonderful taste to it)

As the base is ready, start decorating the cake with the melted chocolate and spread the gems granules around it. For best result refrigerate the cake, it will make the cake compressed.
