METHI PARATHA

Methi Paratha, Methi  Thepla or Fenugreek Paratha is a healthy and tasty flat bread made up of wheat flour, fresh fenugreek leaves and other spices. These delecious parathas are rich in iron and ideal for lunch boxes.

» Finely chop methi (fenugreek) leaves and wash well

» Add wheat flour

» Add besan and required salt

» Add turmeric power and red chilly powder

» Add kasurimethi and curd
» Pour 2 tablespoons of refined oil.

» Knead everything together with required warm water to a soft dough consistency.

» Cover it with a damp cloth and rest for 20 minutes

» Make small balls and roll it very thin in the shape of chapathi. Fry it on the pan like we make chapathi

METHI PARATHA

Ingredients

  • Finely chopped methi - 1.5 cups
  • Wheat flour-1.5 cups
  • Besan or gram flour - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chilly powder -1.5 teaspoon
  • Curd -2 tablespoons
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Kasuri methi or dried Fenugreek - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt as required

Method

  1. Finely chop methi (fenugreek) leaves and wash well
  2. Add wheat flour,besan and required salt
  3. Add turmeric power, red chilly powder, kasurimethi, curd
  4. Pour 2 tablespoons of refined oil and knead everything together with required warm water to a soft dough consistency
  5. Cover it with a damp cloth and rest for 20 minutes
  6. Make small balls and roll it very thin in the shape of chapathi. Fry it on the pan like we make chapathi
  7. Methi Paratha ready to be served
