ALMOND BURFI

Almond burfi or Badam burfi recipe is  a popular indian sweet  prepared with powdered almonds and sugar syrup. It is prepared during  major indian festivals like Deepavali. Also served after a main course of meal. It is a very simple and quick recipe to prepare at home.

Ingredients

Powder Almonds

Add sugar and then water

Grease Tray with ghee

Dissolve sugar

Add almond and stir till no lumps

Add ghee and Stir still hardens

Transfer to tray and cut.

ALMOND BURFI

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Yields: 20

Ingredients

  • Almonds with skin- 1 cup
  • Sugar -1 cup
  • ghee- 2 tablespoons

Method

  1. In a mixie jar, Powder 1 cup almonds with skin and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, add 1 cup sugar. Just add enough water to immerse the sugar...
  3. Mix till sugar dissolves
  4. when syrup gets little thick, add the powdered almonds..
  5. Keep stirring on medium flame for 5 minutes..
  6. add 2 tbsp ghee..and stir again for 2 minutes..
  7. when the paste is getting hard, transfer to a greased plate..
  8. After 10 minutes, cut into desired shape pieces. Almond Burfi ready
