CASHEW BURFI

Cashew Burfi recipe | kaju katli recipe | kaju barfi recipe is a popular Indian dessert  prepared with cashew powder and sugar syrup. Cashew Burfi recipe is prepared during indian festivals like deepavali, navaratri and raksha bandhan. It can be served as a dessert after a full meal. Let us see how to make this simple recipe.

Get ready with i cup cashew nuts 1/2 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons of ghee. In a mixie jar, powder 1 cup raw cashews  (dont use frozen cashews. keep at room temperature)

In a nonstick pan, take 1/2 cup sugar.

Add little water to cover the sugar. keep stirring for 5 minutes on medium flame to form thick syrup.

Add cashew powder to the sugar syrup. Stir for 3 minutes (till no lumps)

Add 2 tsp ghee and stir till it starts to become solid.

Now remove from stove and spread the mix on a greased plate.

Cut it to desired shape.

Within 10 minutes it will harden to a burfi.

  • Cashews -1 cup
  • sugar-1/2 cup
  • Ghee- 2 teaspoons

Method

  3. keep stirring for 5 minutes on medium flame to form thick syrup
  4. now add the cashew powder and stir for 3 minutes.
  5. Add 2 tsp ghee and stir till it starts to become solid.
  6. now remove from stove and spread the mix on a greased plate
  7. cut it to desired shape ..within 10 minutes it will harden to a burfi
