Wash and soak the Channa dal for an hour.
Slice the onion and keep it aside
In a pressure cooker , heat oil fry cloves and Cardamom.
Add onion , salt and curry leaves,saute for 5 minutes till the onion becomes light brown.
Then add Ginger garlic paste and fry
Now add Turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder and fry for a minute.
Then add soaked Channa dal and mix w
Add water to cover the Channa 1 inch above.
Pressure cook it for 6 whistles.Channa Dal masala is ready and Garnish with coriander leaves.
