Ingredients
- broken Moong dal- 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 2 teaspoons
- Oats - 1 cup
- Seasoning- ginger , curry leaves, pepper corns, cumin and few cashews
Method
- Pressure cook 1/2 cup moong dal
- In a pan, add 1 tsp ghee and roast 1 cup oats
- then add required water (about 1.5 cups) to cook oats
- Add salt and the cooked moong dal and mix well
- In a small pan, heat 1 teaspoon ghee. Add cashew, curry leaves, ginger, Cumin and Pepper corns and fry for a minute
- Add this seasoning to the oats mix.
- Healthy oats pongal ready
