Ingredients

  • broken Moong dal- 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 teaspoons
  • Oats - 1 cup
  • Seasoning- ginger , curry leaves, pepper corns, cumin and few cashews

Method

  1. Pressure cook 1/2 cup moong dal
  2. In a pan, add 1 tsp ghee and roast 1 cup oats
  3. then add required water (about 1.5 cups) to cook oats
  4. Add salt and the cooked moong dal and mix well
  5. In a small pan, heat 1 teaspoon ghee. Add cashew, curry leaves, ginger, Cumin and Pepper corns and fry for a minute
  6. Add this seasoning to the oats mix.
  7. Healthy oats pongal ready
