SESAME SEEDS POWDER

Sesame seed powder is used in variety of Andhra vegetarian preparations. This powder gives a distinct flavour to the dish prepared. This is very nutritious , can be taken along with hot steamed rice and ghee. This powder can be added to the vegetables like beetroot, carrot, bottle gourd, snake gourd, long beans etc.,

 

Ingredients.

Dry roast sesame seeds with red chillies. Allow it to cool.

First crush red chillies in the blender,

Then add roasted sesame seeds, salt and Turmeric powder. Grind  it to make a powder.

Sesame seeds powder is ready. Store in an air-tight container.

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • White sesame seeds - 200 gms.
  • Red chillies - 7 to 8 no's
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.

Method

  1. Dry roast sesame seeds with red chillies.
  2. Allow it to cool.
  3. First crush red chillies in the blender,then add roasted sesame seeds,salt and Turmeric powder and grind it to make a powder.
  4. Sesame seeds powder is ready.
