Ingredients
- Ghee-2 tablespoons
- Broken cashews- 2 tablespoons
- Rava- 1 cup
- Grated coconut-1 cup
- cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
- Sugar- 1 cup
- Maida -2 cups
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan..
- Fry 2 tbsp broken cashewnuts till golden
- Add 1 cup rava and fry till raw smell goes away
- Add 1 cup grated coconut and fry till golden brown
- Add 1tsp cardamom powder and mix
- Add 1 cup sugar and mix well....remove from flame so sugar does not melt...
- This mix will be used as the filling for the somaas
- Mix 1 tbsp ghee to 2 cups maida .
- Add little by little water and make like chapathi dough..
- Make small puris .Keep the above prepared filling in the centre..
- Fold puri and seal the ends with little water...
- Deep Fry in medium heat oil..
