SPROUTS SALAD

Sprouts salad is a protein packed healthy salad recipe. It is a very simple recipe. It is also known as miracle food.

 

Ready with sprouts

Ingredients

Pressure cook sprouts.

Add chopped raw onions, tomatoes, Cucumber, coriander leaves, mint leaves,  Pepper powder and mix well.

Yields: 2 bowls

Ingredients

  • Sprouted green Gram - 1/2 cup
  • Sprouted black channa - 1/2 cup
  • Onion ( chopped ) - 1 medium sized
  • Tomato ( chopped ) - 1
  • Cucumber ( cut into cubes )
  • Coriander leaves
  • Mint leaves
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Salt as required.

Method

  1. Pressure cook the sprouts with little salt.
  2. Add chopped raw onions, tomatoes, Cucumber, coriander leaves, mint leaves, Pepper powder and mix well.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice and mix well.
  4. If storing for later, add Cucumber and tomato just before eating.
  5. VARIATION 1 : Any sprouts can be used to make this salad. Corn flakes can be added to it to make it more crunchy.
  6. VARIATION 2 : Onions can be avoided.
