52. Om Shri Sai Sarva Paapa Kshaya Karaaya Namah

[Who is the destroyer of all sins.]

One day, Baba gave a talk in Nellore. He told a story about a small boy named Ramu.

Ramu’s mother was very sick. They had no money for her treatment. So Ramu went from house to house asking people for help. At one house, the man became very angry. He hit Ramu hard on his head. The poor boy cried, “Amma! Who will take care of you now?” and he fell down. After telling the story, Baba said, “We must always love and take care of our parents. They gave us birth and looked after us. We should never be ungrateful to them.”

The next day, a middle-aged man ran into Baba’s room. He fell at Baba’s feet and started crying. Baba said, “This is just like Ramu’s story,” and asked others to go outside. The man had fought with his mother and left her alone. Now he felt very sorry. He told Baba that he had done wrong. He promised that he would change and take care of his mother.

Baba forgave him kindly. He patted him on the back and said, “When we feel sorry for our mistakes and correct them, that is the best way to improve. Bring your mother and take care of her. I will bless both of you.” The man happily promised to care for his mother.
