Trishul : denotes that Lord Shiva is the Master of Time – past,present and future./ A weapon that can remove all the three gunas – Satva,Rajas and Tamas.

Crescent Moon : This stands for mind. Lord Shiva is the controller of mind.

Snake : Symbolizes spiritual power.

Damroo : Symbolizes sound which is energy.

Nandi : Signifies Truth and righteousness. Alos though Nandi is found outside the temple, its gaze is firmly fixed upon the Lord. Swami tells us to fix our thoughts on the Divine.

Bilva leaves: Bilva leaves is a symbol of auspiciousness and is an important offering to Lord Shiva.
