60. Om Shri Sai Kaamakrodha Dhwamsine Namah
[Salutations to Lord Sai who destroys desire and anger.]
Baba destroys the innate anger and the desires of us mortals.
The young Baba was called by the name ‘Brahma Gnani’ (the man of spiritual wisdom) by Baba’s classmates. Baba always insisted that they should neither smoke nor drink. Baba also advised them to respect elders. Once, during a summer program conducted at Bangalore, Baba advised his students to discontinue smoking and drinking. The students were happy and pledged to follow Baba’s advice. But, one person could not quit the habit of smoking despite his promise to Baba. His desire overrode him and he once smoked before the class. Baba is omniscient – He knows everything. When Baba questioned the boy, he got angry and even lied that he did not smoke. Baba, by the wave of His hand produced a photo of him seen smoking in the backyard of Brindavan. He felt remorseful and fell at Baba’s feet. He asked for Baba’s forgiveness. Baba annihilates the kama (desire) and the krodha (anger) in us.
