81. Om Shri Sai Phala-Pradaaya Namah

[Salutations to Lord Sai who vouchsafes the fruits (both kinds of Karmas).]

Baba always blesses our noble deeds. He responds to our prayers. He always answers our prayers. He grants us the fruits of our good acts and prayers to us!

Once Baba wanted to buy sarees in Bombay for the construction workers at the women’s college in Anantpur. Baba selected 96 sarees out of 100 that was brought to Him. There were a few drops of tears around the neglected sarees. Baba told that the sarees were weeping as they were rejected. Baba in one of His discourses related this story to the story of Govardhana Giri, the hill which Krishna held on His hand.

Monkeys helped Lord Rama to build a bridge on the sea. The monkeys uprooted mountains and threw them into the sea. When the bridge was completed, a certain mountain in the hands of a monkey was discarded. The mountain started shedding tears. Sri Rama consoled the mountain and assumed that He will utilize it in His next birth during Krishna avatar. That was the mountain Lord Krishna lifted in His hand to save the yadavas from the incessant rains unleashed by Indra. Even the non-living inanimate thing was given an opportunity by Baba to serve the society. God responds to the prayers of humans and also that of material things!
