Ashtotaram – 84
Pearls of Devotion
84. Om Shri Sai Ateetaaya Namah
[Salutations to Lord Sai whose glory transcendent (the three worlds).]
Devotees of Baba have witnessed o lot of His miracles. Lingothbavam is one of Baba’s miracles – the emergence of Linga from the body of Baba.
Once during Shivarathri, Baba came to the dais with bhajan echoing in the Shanti Vedika ashram. During the discourse, there was a minor disturbance in Baba’s speech and He coughed. Baba sat down, but encouraged the devotees to start the bhajan. He looked restless, soon a blue ellipsoidal (shaped like a lentil) Linga emerged from His mouth and fell on the kerchief held in His hand. Baba then showed it to the people.
Usually after Lingothbavam, Baba will go to the mandir. But that day, Baba sat on the chair for nearly an hour. Then smilingly Baba walked to the mandir. Later, Baba let everyone know that He had gone on a celestial tour. Baba indeed transcends laws of nature and defies scientific explanations!
