Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas is different and special as it involves experiential learning of values. It is not a class room and the Guru is not a teacher. With focus on holistic development of a child, the guru lovingly carves out a beautiful personality in the child, using different tools.
One such is experiential learning. While story telling, meditation, and learning bhajans help develop values and spirituality in a child, experiential learning is to help the students grow into better citizens in relation to the society.
For instance, children can be encouraged to grow plants. It would reveal their patience and ability to nurture a new life. Non-fire cooking sessions would be a tool to teach children not to waste food, to share what they make. Having wealth out of waste classes would highlight conservation and the importance of five elements.
