Meaning of Navaratri
Navratri means Nine Nights. Night represents darkness, the ignorance within us. Navratri Celebration enables man to dispel such darkness. The unified form of Durga, Lakshmi & Saraswati is Shakthi. She is the controller of this Prakruthi. Let’s worship Goddess Parashakti and get rid of our darkness.

நவராத்திரி என்பதன் பொருள்
நவராத்திரி என்றால் ஒன்பது இரவுகள் என்று பொருள். இரவு என்றால் இருள். அதாவது, நம்முள் இருக்கும் அறியாமை. அந்த அறியாமையை அகற்றவே நவராத்திரி கொண்டாடுகிறோம். துர்கா, லக்ஷ்மி மற்றும் சரஸ்வதி ஆகிய மூவரின் ஒருங்கிணைந்த உருவமே ‘சக்தி’ என போற்றப்படுகிறாள். அவளே இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தை அடக்கி ஆள்பவள். நம் அறியாமை இருள் அகல, அந்த பராசக்தியை வழிபடவேண்டும்.
